Beta Terms

Beta policy - effective 1 September 2026

1. A free beta service

Programme Designer is currently a free beta. There are no fees while the beta runs, and we won't ask you to pay without telling you first (see section 8).

2. Provided as-is

As a beta, the service is provided "as is" and availability is not guaranteed. Features may change, break, or be temporarily unavailable while we iterate. We'll do our best to keep your data safe and the service usable, but we can't promise uptime or that every feature will work perfectly.

3. Your content stays yours

The programmes, modules, and outcomes you create remain your content. We don't claim any ownership over it, and we don't use it for anything other than providing the service to you (see our Privacy Policy for how AI features process it).

4. We may contact you for feedback

Because this is a beta, we may occasionally reach out by email to ask about your experience or invite feedback. You're never obligated to respond.

5. AI outputs are suggestions, not decisions

The AI programme advisor reads your programme spec and suggests improvements - it never edits your programme for you, and it never makes an accreditation or programme-design decision. Any suggestion it gives requires your own professional judgement before you act on it. Programme design and accreditation decisions must always stay with a qualified human.

6. Acceptable use

  • No uploading or creating unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
  • No attempting to breach the security of the service or access another account's data.
  • No attempting to disrupt the service for other beta users.

7. Data handling

How we collect, use, and protect your data is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Termination

Either you or we may end your participation in the beta at any time. If you'd like to stop using the service, you can ask us to export your data and then delete your account - email john@simvirtua.com and we'll handle both steps for you.

9. The beta may become a paid product

Programme Designer may evolve into a paid product after the beta. If that happens, existing beta users will be told well in advance and given a clear choice before anything is charged - you will never be silently moved onto a paid plan.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
